Fizzled Durham Does Not Disappoint
Last night I had the awesome opportunity to attend Fizzled Durham at Six Plates Wine Bar off Duke’s campus. A play off of Ignite Raleigh, this event boasted a fantastic line of speakers— both serious, funny and above all— Interesting! What are some things I learned?
- Honeybees are pretty awesome. They do sting— but not as much as when they are carrying honey. Also, Beekeepers actually have to “Bee Breed,” meaning they have to be careful to destroy ‘aggressive’ bees so that the next generation isn’t aggressive.
- Bump is so much better than Poken for sharing contact information.
- One way to make sure your business doesn’t wear spandex, is to make sure the business model doesn’t support “80% meeting, 20% work” days.
- Pokemon might actually be a precursor to today’s social media.
- There are several easy questions that you can ask to see if an SEO professional is legit or not.
